|---|---|---|---|
| VGLVARVEE GLOBAL LIMITED | 25 Sept 2026 | Stock Split | Not covered |
Confirmed — ex-date ahead
Approved, with a record date fixed. To be eligible you must hold the shares by the close of the session before the ex-date.
No bonus issue or split currently has a future ex-date on the NSE. This is normal — the feed fills up only as boards approve proposals and companies fix record dates.
Completed in the last twelve months
95 bonus issues and splits have gone ex since 26 Sept 2025. The 60 most recent are shown. “Price becomes” is what the quoted price was divided by on the ex-date — the adjustment itself, not a fall.

What actually happens to your holding
On the ex-date the exchange adjusts the reference price by the ratio of the action, and your broker credits the new shares in the days that follow. A 1:1 bonus doubles your share count and halves the quoted price. A split from ₹10 face value to ₹1 multiplies your share count by ten and divides the price by ten. In both cases the value of what you own at that instant is unchanged.
This is worth being clear about because the charts are not. A stock that went ex a 1:1 bonus shows a vertical 50% drop on any chart that has not been adjusted for it, and that drop is an artefact. Before concluding that something terrible happened to a company on a particular day, check whether it went ex a bonus or split that morning — this table is exactly the place to check.
Bonus issue versus stock split, in the balance sheet
The effect on a shareholder is nearly identical, which is why the two are so often confused. The difference is in how the company gets there. A split simply redenominates: face value falls, share count rises, reserves are untouched. A bonus issue capitalises reserves — money that belonged to shareholders as retained earnings is converted into share capital — so the company's reserves fall and its paid-up capital rises by the same amount.
Practically, a company with limited reserves cannot issue a large bonus but can always split, and a company whose face value is already at ₹1 cannot split further but can still issue a bonus. That constraint, more than any signalling theory, usually explains which one a board chooses.
Why some rows here show no adjustment
Not everything the exchange files under "bonus" is a bonus of ordinary shares. Some are issues of non-convertible redeemable preference shares or warrants under a scheme of arrangement — they carry a ratio, but the equity price does not adjust by it at all. Printing a multiplier for those would tell a holder their shares were about to quote at a fraction of the previous close, which would be false. Those rows show the exchange's own sentence and no number.

Bonus and split questions
What is the difference between a bonus issue and a stock split?
A split cuts the face value of the share — ₹10 becomes ₹1 — and multiplies the number of shares to match. A bonus issue leaves face value untouched and capitalises the company’s reserves to issue new shares free of cost. In both cases you end up with more shares at a proportionally lower price and the same total value; the difference is in the balance sheet, not in your holding’s worth.
What is the record date for a bonus issue?
The date on which the company checks its register to decide who receives the bonus shares. Because Indian settlement is T+1, you must own the shares by the end of the day before the ex-date to appear on that register. The ex-date, not the record date, is the one that governs your buying decision.
Do I make money from a bonus issue or a split?
Not directly. The price adjusts on the ex-date by exactly the ratio of the action, so the value of your holding is unchanged the moment it happens. What changes is liquidity and the optics of the share price, and over time that can affect how the stock trades — but the action itself transfers no value to you.
What happens to the share price after a 1:1 bonus?
It halves, mechanically, on the ex-date. You hold twice as many shares at roughly half the price. Charts that do not adjust for the action will show what looks like a 50% crash on that day; it is not one.
Why do some entries here show no price adjustment?
Because not every action described as a "bonus" is a bonus of ordinary shares. Some are bonus issues of preference shares or warrants under a scheme of arrangement, which do not adjust the equity price at all. Rather than print a misleading multiplier, those rows show the exchange’s own description and no adjustment.
How far in advance are bonus issues and splits announced?
A company first intimates a board meeting to consider the proposal — usually a few days to a couple of weeks ahead. Only after the board approves does a record date get fixed and the action appear in the exchange’s corporate-actions feed. That is why this page shows proposals and confirmed actions as separate lists: for long stretches there are no confirmed upcoming ones at all.
